Default Filming in portrait.

I wish people didn't do it, it really winds me up! More and more videos seem to end up on You Tube and alike that are tall and narrow. Why?

I normally just don't bother watching them.

Anyway here's a good video I've found about the problem!

Lovin' that vid

The problem is part due to smart phones like iphone4/4S/5 being so unbalanced to hold single handed in a horizontal position in such a manner that your hand or fingers don't obstruct the lens or screen. You need a tight grip to hold it in horizontal one handed in such as way that you can still see the screen to know what you are filming. And if you use both hands, the middle finger on your left hand covers the lens.

Put simply they are very badly designed phones for video.

So....say no to iPhones!!!

Before the fanboys jump in a ruin the thread - I'm a iPhone owner, just I've not been brainwashed (yet )

'er indoors does this too, keep telling her to film the right way up. Right pain having to lie down to watch them on the TV

Anyone found an easy way to flip them the right way up, appreciate they'd have some sort of border round them?
