selling my lotus esprit.whats the story with a bankers draft.dont want to get ripped off.how can you tell its genuine?whats the best procrdure?

Physically go to the bank with the purchaser and have the draft drawn up there and then. Or open a temporary account at the purchasers bank and get the money transferred over, again whilst both of you are at the bank.

you can get the reference numbers etc from the draft and then call their branch to confirm.

Get the telephone number from directory enquiries, not from the person as they could set up a false number.

The other option is same day BACS transfer into your account, when i sold my westie thats how it was done, i never met the guy, just got a BACS transfer and then the car was collected on a low loader. He obviously trusted me to do that.
