Reminds me of the time I used to go to work via the Blackwall Tunnel in London.
The number of times it was blocked with lorries getting stuck was ridiculous.

It had numerous height warnings miles before the entrance & also plastic yellow pipes hanging over the road that HGV's would hit if over height.They still carry on & drive into the tunnel

 

The camper just kept on rolling I think

 

Part of my job is to deal with the aftermath of these "bridge bashes"

Whilst out there on holiday, I talked to a English guy who drove a tour bus out in Canada and one thing that he really really hated....American tourists driving camper vans or RVs. Seems they are alot worse at hogging the road than British caravaners Especially as his new tour bus "only" had 450bhp so didn't have enough power to overtake them...apparently his last bus had a 600bhp Detroit diesel.
