Any Surveyors on here?
I live on a new build site and have done so for the last two and half years.
On this site is a playground area where I like to take my 2 year old son.
As of late, the surrounding area of the park has become increasingly littered with rubbish.
Both the main builders on the site (Ward Homes and Bovis) deny that they own the land.
Problem is, it has yet to be adopted by the council. If it was only a bit of rubbish, I would pop down myself and do it, but with the amount there, I would be there all day!
Is there anyway of finding out who is responsible for the land without paying land registry to tell me??

If that's the case then I will take photos of the site and post them every I can stating how said company looks after its land. Don't want it to get that silly, but something needs to be done.

Chris, forget about finding the land owner as it's a bloody nightmare in situations like this. Even then they may not bother doing anything even if you fnd them.
Go instead to your council's local environmental health department and point out the situation especially as it is next to a kid's playground. They will probably clear it without too much hassling. Start by sending them an email with a few pics and following up with a phone call.

Don't think anything will be done by the council until the site is signed off on completion. Then, like you say it will become adopted by the council. Is the site nearly finished?

But like i said, it has been adopted by the council. I'm going to contact land registry, pay a bit of money and find out for a fact who owns it.

You're missing an n't ! The council still enforces vermin control, litter etc. against private premises. If the litter is blowing around outside the place then the landowner has some responsibility that the council might enforce.
