I've got a "Youview" Humax box. I wish I hadn't got it now. I used to have a Humax HDR-FOX T2. I gave it away to my girlfriend when I got the chance of the DTR-T1000 going cheap in the Comet closedown sale. I don't like it. Its not as user friendly as the Freeview box.
As for your connection speed, I couldn't answer that question as you'll have to look at your own broadband connection for that.

if it just plugs into your network and uses your internet then find your speed at speedtest.net.

I know what it is now, I'm getting new connection soon.

Just wondering what other people were getting- in order for this box to work, they say no less than 3 mbs

Ours averages at only about 2.5mbs, when it's that speed it seems to work fine, if it drops lower then it sometimes takes a while to buffer.
