Really? I didn't read that far down. Horsey meat seems to be getting quite popular nowadays. I heard/read something last week that traces of pig was found in Halal meat as well.

Its gonna turn out to be the meat suppliers passing off horse as beef - someone is making a fortune here - it must be a widespread scam.
Unfortunately its probably a criminal gang, probably in Poland, as that's where Tesco's meat supplier was from... further reinforcing the fact that eastern europeans are lawless robbing bastids...

It's not the Horsemeat that worries me - it's the drugs the horses have been given that concerns me A LOT!!
Animals to be in the Human Food Chain cannot have some drugs given - horses can, of course!!
It is the work of Criminal Gangs - where there's money to be made you will find Criminals willing to exploit it ..... at any cost, they have no scrupples about who they harm in the meantime.

Forget the rosy cheeked farmer or the ruddy faced Captain Birds Eye image that the food companies peddle. The food industry is massive profit orientated giant that is feeding the masses crap! Stick to organic foods where possible and buy your meat fresh from your LOCAL butcher.

food production is already massively subsidised
in reality it is too cheap, I expect it will get much more expensive in the comming years

years ago in rotherham, there was a gang buying chicken that was unfit for human consumption, it was piled up on the floor and moved with a JCB, then it was cleaned with bleach and packaged up and sold to shops as fresh chicken
