Question

Does anyone know how to stop all unwanted e-mails coming in? I get 8-10 a day with viagra being the most persistant (no i dont need it). I know i can alter my settings but this stops genuine e-mails as well.

I use a program called mailwasher. You can blacklist rogue email senders and it bounces the email back to them.

the bottom of the message usually has a box to enter e-mail address which is supposed to cross me off their mailing list but i still get messages.
The ones which dont have boxes i usually send a reply with remove as the subject but these get returned?

Isn't there an anti SPAM orginisation? You report the sender to them and they will yake it up with the senders ISP. I'm sure someone will have the address

Yep I would like an answer to this to and I don't want to change my e-mail address as it is business linked. I have been on the net for some years now and get around 20 of these messages a day. My kids are free to use the computer and I really don't want them to see a mail entitled Rape Sex, for example, which just came in. I wondered if there was a programme that would filter and block certain words? Mortgage, interest rates, sex, young, rape, enlarge. etc etc would feature on my list. Any help appreciated. Incidentally I had a similar problem with junk faxes and contacted the fax preference service which cut down this junk by around 95% so that does work well. David
