The BBC drop another gaff.
This is the last thing that you'd imagine the BBC would show to young kids, it beggars belief really, not sure whether to laugh or not lol

Do you really think your average Potty Goblin is going to be scarred for life for watching that, A Tweenie doing a poor impersonation of Jimmy Savile, it isnt a gaffe, its a mistake, I suspect nobody thought that an episode of the Tweenies would be a problem, and it isn't, it is only parents making a fuss, he cannot be erased from history that easily and nobody was harmed.
People need to toughen up a bit if that worries them, I would have just had a laugh at it rather than ringing the BBC, I would imagine in their library it said "The Tweenies have a chart rundown, 28 mins, colour or something", not "Milo dresses up as a Paedo and bums the girl Tweenie in his Roller, Ows about that then guys and Gals, 28 mins, colour".

It's an honest mistake, people should just laugh it off and not think any more about it. Some people take life far too seriously! (Though that doesn't mean I'm saying they should have aired it!)

I think anything that casts a positive light on Saville (even if the kids don't know who he was) is a bit insensitive considering the ongoing investigation, but the idea that it might somehow harm the kids watching it is just absurd!

People need to man the **** up and stop whining about the smallest of things.

I dont think they have anyone at the BBC who watches previously broadcast childrens television for occasional traces of Jimmy Savile, he is on the news every five minutes, in the papers every single day, even his victims cold probably see the fact it was an honest mistake, and why would fifty plus women be watching Tweenies anyway.

how many tv shows have had impersonations of Savile over the years – Grumbleweeds, little & large etc etc. Do we need to ban all of these now.

It actually made the News at 6 tonight as well, 220 odd complaints. I'm sure some people have the BBC complaints departments number saved to a specific key on their phones for easy access.
