Decent "A" Level Maths text book.
I could do with one covering pure maths and having plenty of problems, preferably with answers, though not necessarily worked solutions.
I have access to decent books on how to, I just need loads of practice.
Anyone know of any, have one to sell, or would be willing to loan me one, I'd pay postage and look after it.
I'd need it until September or so.
TIA.

Is this for your son who is studying Engineering? The engineering maths books by KA Stroud are widely used and very comprehensive and begin at the "basics" around A level skill but will also stand him in good stead for later years.
See here for the list of contents:
Not that expensive new really for a textbook but also is so widely used there should be plenty of second hand copies on the likes of ebay. Seems they start quite cheap there:

Im not sure what the different editions have or dont have but any edition should cover the A level style stuff. The good thing about stroud books is there is then advanced and further engineering mathematics so once you get used to the style of the books it helps with further learning. I have a copy but I like to keep it for reference and tbh it looks like it would be cheaper to buy one than pay postage.
Hope this helps

I havent used Stroud in a couple of years, but its one of those books that every engineer should have. As far as I remember it has plenty of worked examples in it along with answers, will take a look at my book tomorrow afternoon when I can and see what it has or hasn't.

Try and look for a maths text book by A Greer from the 90s. Orange cover. My dad bought it for me when I was in Ghana. I never fully appreciated it. I did a level maths, but I want to study it again.

I have Higher Engineering Mathematics by John Bird and find it to be pretty good. It's on it's 6th edition and I recently found out my college were selling off their copies of the 5th edition for 20p, but I missed out
