Depends on whether you've got winter tyres fitted to the blob, otherwise you'll end up stuck anyway

Good shout, hadn't thought of that. Still half the chance of getting stuck as there would be in the fabia.
I suppose what im looking for is justification to take my new toy away for the weekend with me. Haha

I've never been up that way, from what i can gather,it's pretty countrified though. Hmmmmm decisions decisions.
I'd love to take the scoob but i cant really see the missus allowing it given that ive used a tank of vpower in 140miles and its a 250 mile round trip. Bugger....

I used to live in Beverley and drive to work in Scarborough every day. Bought the scoob while I lived there and thoroughly enjoyed the daily 50-mile round trip

On a cruise you should get nearer 250-miles on the tank, I've had a good 25-27mpg on a commute so it can be done

Beverley to Driff, Driff to Scarborough or Driff to Brid. Driff to Malton as well, all fantastic driving roads and where most of the miles on all three of my Imprezas have been done

Just won't be too clever this weekend as it's supposed to get cold with a risk of the white stuff

We're hiring a cottage there for the weekend, us and a few friends. Got a long drive from manchester whichever car we go in. To be fair though both cars are as fun as each other in their own way.

The money spent taking the family on holiday comes out of the holiday budget, not the car fuel budget

Take the car that will make you happy

(leave the wife at home if you have too)

Most of your driving will be on the M62, then off at jcn37 Howden and 20mins steady up to Driffield.
Take whichever car you want, the weather doesn't matter.
