As title really, I am due to start my very first contract in March this year, so I will need and accountant to deal with that side of things.

Can anyone recommend a decent Accountant that will set up the LTD company, do all the tax, paye, etc etc.

Equally, are there any i should avoid?

Where are you based? I'd recommend you find someone local so you can have a face-to-face meeting, on day one at least.

Set up the Ltd co yourself online in about 10 mins, find a local accountant that will guide you and let you do your own books. Do you know anyone else with their own business that can recommend someone?

Most of the people I know who are contracting use firms like http://www.nixonwilliams.com/IT-Cont...imited-Company or http://www.crunch.co.uk/ or http://www.accountsnet.co.uk/ or similar types of firms.

I dont really see a problem with them, I reckon they all have to abide by the "law of the land" when it comes to tax, paye etc and I'd imagine they all have there good and bad points and charge similar rates

Really just asking about to see what other people use.

Go local, avoid umbrella companys, if going limited you will need liability ins, will you be VAT registered?

Form the company yourself. You can do it for around £5 and some formation companies will pay up to £100 cash back, if you sign up with the bank they recommend.
