Default "Bad earth" causing heater to work intermittently.....easy fix ?

Wife's 10 year old BMW Cab (325) has had a heater issue for a couple of weeks now where it would work, then not, then work etc - completely random it appeared.

Diagnosed as a bad earth connection (whatever that means)

Anyone on here know what that is, how to fix it (diy job or garage) etc etc.

As you can imagine, having no heater on cold mornings especially makes the car almost unusable and somewhat dangerous !

Cheers all and Happy New Year !

Ro.

Easy fix, but maybe NOT so easy to get to the earth wire.

Can you find the wires going to the heater fans/ If so, identify the earth wire and trace it back, clean up the connection and away you go.

However: it might also be a loose connection on the feed side, so check those as well.
