Question

Anyone recommend a travel guide to Tokyo and Kyoto? I am going over for a week on holiday later in the year and all the reviews of travel guides on amazon are pretty mixed.

Cheers Sean

Its largely a case of mind over matter in Japan. They don't mind and you don't matter.

Get yourself a "Time Out" travel guide. These have tons of info
on everything to do with the particular place you're going.
They're sold at WH Smiths, around £10.99.
Dorling Kindersley(DK) do a good travel guide as well.

Well if your coming after the World Cup I wouldnt bother. They are totally unprepared for the onslaught of the fans. Been on the ground and the twaddle you read about the 'fierce' Japanese Police in the British media...........It aint gonna be pretty!!!. I found the best guide when I first got here was 'The Lonely Planet' one.

Cheers Guys, I was thinking about Lonely Planet as all the other places I have been have had good guide books by them. We are going over in November so they might have rebuilt everything after the barmy army by then.
