Why not spend more time policing the lay about scroungersof this society! Too many people see benefits as an easy ticket for doing **** all .... this could be a good solution to get them pulling theyre weight!

Lots of people use Cookies to track what you are doing.
And...
"The tracking element of the programme will not be compulsory as monitoring people's behaviour online without their consent would not be allowed under EU law.
Seems like a good idea to me. I regularly hear that people really want to work and spend lots of hours looking for jobs. In which case they've nothing to worry about.

"Mr Duncan Smith said: “If you choose not to take a job that matches you, then the adviser will look at your reasons, and if the adviser thinks ‘actually, these are pretty specious reasons’, he may call you in and say ‘I think you really need to be applying for these jobs’.”"
Sounds ok to me, otherwise they're claiming benefits when they could be working
TX.
Edit - like the sound of this too:
"Mr Duncan Smith also confirmed his department is looking at introducing a ‘welfare card’, instead of some benefits, for drug addicts. This could only be used to purchase certain items, such as food and other essentials, stopping them from spending their benefits on drugs."

Martin 2005 and Pete Brant will be along in a minute to claim I'm blinkered but I've often said IDS is actually a conviction politician.
I have nothing but respect for what he is trying to do. My ears are deaf to the cries of the bleeding heart liberals and those on the left who bribe their potential electoral fodder with unquestionable rights to benefits.

In Florida US they have recently announced that welfare claimants will have to be drug tested.
If tested positive they lose the benefit.
If they refuse to be tested they lose the benefit.
It's been reported that hundreds of welfare claimants are heading out of Florida towards friendlier states up north.

This is a great idea: spend money trying to rake back a few million. Net gain: a few thousands.
Why not spend money on forcing the likes of Tesco, Starbucks and Argos to pay the fukcing tax they should.
In fact, THAT initiative would cost nowt........because HMRC are already up, funded and running.
Oh, but wait.......THAT initiative would not appeal to those who blame the poor for everything.
99% of those claiming the dole would rather work, trust me......

I don't particularly like my job, but I do it so I make money. why should someone on the rock n roll say 'you know what i don't fancy doing that job ive been offered so I'll carry on doing jack and having more babies and getting free money'.
If you don't like the job offered take it and look for something else that you do fancy. I don't like people expecting stuff to be handed to them on a plate.
The UK spends £200 billion or £200,000 million annually on welfare. So even a scheme that costs £50 million to get a lot of people back (or even just into) work has gotta be worth it.

I'd be amazed if it were anywhere near 99% tbh
And I bet some of those who would work would want a minimum of 30k/year to 'make it worth their while'.
The rest will be holding out for a management position.
