Thanks kind Sir ....... I was looking at the 2 year old WRX STi's ...... they are damned cheap aren't they? £13,999 before haggling
My Honda Diesel is worth that as Part Ex - despite costing £10k less than a new STi when new, 2 years ago!
BUT, 20mpg? £500 annual road tax? Nah ..... the maths don't work anymore
Sadly!

they dont work for me any more either - gone to a 320d, but ive kept the subaru for some summer fun! on your pension you can afford some fun at the weekends cant you? stop wasting your money on compost and boats.
I get a nice 32.5MPG out of my 328hp scoob. Long as I drive like pete.
Normally its more like 19-23mpg but thats when Im having fun, pete. You know, the action that causes a muscular reaction making the corners of your mouth turn-up into a grin? One of those. Oh you do remember, dont you?

i see plenty out on the weekends, especially during the summer. Theres a couple of scoob owners by me, who just park up the car for the winter in storage while using a 2nd motor.
Its called looking after your pride and joy F1.

Oh really, maybe you'd like to come and teach my grandmother to suck eggs too!
My point, however, is that the newer cars (not the pig ugly recent hatches/saloons, I mean the the hawkeyes and blobeyes) are in short supply on the roads these days as daily drivers. Thuis is surprising as you see plenty of 02/03/04/05/06 cars from other manufacturers out and about! As I said fuel and running costs are probably the main factor!
