Do these come in red? A few years back I saw a similar looking bird - but red flying around our garden one winter. Sadly I doubt it survied long.

Very clever birds aren't they.

My grandmother had one and it'd call the cat in for dinner, that cat would be like WTF, where's my dinner and the parrot would be casually looking around like he knew nothing.

I can't help feel sorry for them being kept in a cage, the magic of a bird is its ability to soar up high, free. What do we do? Stick them in a cage!

Very young that. I saw my grandmother again recently for the first time in 15 years and we got on to the parrot, she told me it was still going strong. She had it back in the 80's and gave it to her brother many years ago. It wasn't exactly young then. Seemed weird to think it was still alive, it must be 30yrs old at least!

Just had a look online and the live into their 60's and 70's

Ye they live very long. Basically the roof collapsed at our place a few years back so we lost him.

Always thought about getting another one, but you know what they say, you cant replace the loved ones you've lost.

Yes.....very

We had a yellow crested cockatoo.......I returned it to the breeder to be fair to it.
It screemed the house down for attention, used to let it out and the fooooka was ruthless

If you wasn't careful it would of ripped your toe nails out
Absolutely stunning creature and very intelligent ......it just hated me
Most will pick one person out of a couple and be jealous of the other....my missis used to be at home all day so I drew the short straw
If it hadn't cost a grand it would of been let out of the window with both barrels pointing at its ****

Yes, of the raptor variety. Here's mine just after getting him home so a bit lairy, he's now trained enough to be flying free and just about to start being trained to hunt for his food and more calm than my Son's budgie:

We had a rare blue ringneck, bought him in 2001 as a baby and stayed with us for over 8yrs. Was free to fly around the house and would follow you everywhere.

They love chewing up wallpaper and especially ADT alarm cables lol
Ate everything from chicken to ice cream and drank coke too

Nope he's way too small for an eagle. He's a Harris Hawk. His favourite tv is Top Gear and Redbull X Fighters on Dave which he watches in my study after i've been out flying him.
