MP expenses scandal part 2?

MP expenses scandal part 2?
MPs are apparently using a loophole that allows them to claim for rental costs of thousands per month, while renting their own places out to each other, in a giant merry-go-round.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...o-failure.html
Not only that, they are renting out places they own (which is fine) and claiming from the taxpayer for their costs in renting out elsewhere! (not fine!)
How on earth is that allowed!?

Chris Bryant, a shadow minister for borders and immigration, has rented out his mansion flat in Bloomsbury and claimed £2,050 for a month’s rent in the last period for which data have been published.

Have they learned nothing??
You couldn't make it up, could you?
Noses in the trough ... yet again!
Just pay them the average wage of £75,000 a year (in London) and be done with it!

agree with psl here
all including pm - or maybe small % above , but nothing to incite corruption in the battle for the top. fixed wage for all - forget extra houses ect ect. why do they need a new house when they bstart working for a political party? maybe if relocating from a distance yes.
but they must all have had houses before, keep them pay the mortgage on them - stay in political parties house free - ish (not power ect) and move out when replaced for next person to move in when they leave the position?
i fcking hate how corrupt all these ***** are, and yet try to set standards and impose rules on others. doesnt matter which party it is, its a total waste of tax payers money - and then they turn to rape the everday man in every conceivable way/cut jobs pensions ect to try and make up for the huge debts we are in.

Well, whatever pressure the Speaker John Bercow applied on IPSA seems to have worked; they are now refusing to release the identities of the MPs involved in this scam, for 'security' reasons, or more accurately 'job security' reasons.

So 27 MPs are at it, according to the Telegraph. Let's estiimate they are claiming about £2000 per month, that's over £500k A MONTH.
Lest we forget the 8 who are renting off each other - apparently the claims office does not check whether the amount being claimed accurately reflects the market rate, so who knows how much they are charging each other!

They say they are accountable to the public ..... if so, let's see the details - no need for Addresses - just the names of the MP's feathering each others back pockets!!
And they wonder why people have lost the will to vote!

Well I have said that we are very unlucky with the MP's who get in nowadays.
The first expenses scandal was the indication of how much trust we could put in them and now we see that they are at it all over again.
If it was only possible,we would do well to boot them all out, maybe even prosecute them for thievery, and start all over again from scratch.
Shame on them!
