Default Energy price pledge - say one thing, do another... again!

They are at it again, saying one thing and then having to backtrack as they can't actually deliver on it.

Cameron made a pledge on energy price tariffs and now the Energy minister says that is not what will happen.

Energy price row deepens

Are they really this stupid, do they not talk to each other? It beggars belief really!

You're old enough to know that every govt we've lived under has back tracked on promises, especialy that last mob, they back tracked on virtually everything they promised. So we shouldn't be surprised in the slightest.

This isn't really the same thing though, In this government we have one of them saying something that he or she has obviously not cleared with anyone else and the very next day they have to sort out the mess!

It isn't party political as they are all utterly inept, but like Les says this seems to be about as stupid as it gets and it keeps happening!

But it's a coalition, maybe this has escaped your notice?

I don't think it's bad at all, why we could be under the whole onslaught of new labia mismanagement .

Honestly, which would you rather have?

Honestly? Neither. They are all the same. As bad as each other in my book!

I do not understand why on this board if someone criticises the government the default response is to say it would be worse under Labour. Maybe it would, maybe it wouldn't, the point is it doens't matter as they are not the party in power, the other two are and they are shambolic. Even if Labour were worse that doesn't make the current lot any better in absolute terms.

Get rid of the lot them I say and start again!

I'd have the coalition over the deceitful B&B govt we experienced for so long that blatantly lied to us year after year after year.

Yes the coalition is making errors al govts do, but I believe they are genuinely trying to turn things around rather than treating us like fools and lying to us on a regular basis.

Whats this? U-turn made by the coallition? Surely not

This lot are an absolute shower. U-turn after U-turn, led us into another recession, promised to fix the economy and are infact borrowing even more, trying to privatise everything that moves .

Not even fit to be mentioned int he same breath as Blairs Government and even Browns is being made to look professional by this bunsh of clowns.

If you think about it, it is all a desperate effort by our leader to decrease the deficit to Labour of the Conservative's poll results and consequently to ward off the "skids" that he must be able to see approaching himself in the not so far distance.

The clue is the rushed way in which it was proposed and the lack of any real idea how to achieve it. Talk about a fingertip existence!
