Thumbs up Mitchell - Dead Man Walking ....

The official police log of a confrontation between Chief Whip Andrew Mitchell and officers in Downing Street last week has been published in full for the first time.

"If Number 10 doesn't believe the testimony of a number of Downing Street police officers, that's very serious.

"Alternatively, if the chief whip isn't telling the prime minister the full story, that's equally as serious.

"What is now beyond doubt is that (Mr Cameron) is a weak prime minister, unable to establish the truth of what goes on - even just yards from his own doorstep."

John Tully, chairman of the Metropolitan Police Federation, said: "Clearly Mr Mitchell is denying using certain words, effectively now impugning the integrity of the police officers.

"I think that is very serious."

The Tories have shown themselves to be out of touch completely .... Mitchell shows the side of being a rich snob Tory which they try to hide - here it is laid bare!!

They (Tories) think we are all plebs ..... yes, YOU, who stupidly voted for them!!

Rich boyz - not done a days work in their rich lives - walking around expecting everyone to bow down .........

Two words - SACK HIM!!!

I give him 3 days and he will be sitting on the backbenches!!

He has stupidly put himself in a position where eithe rhe is lying, or the he is saying the police are. I don;t see how he can stay.

In other news, Labour are now 10 points ahead in the polls. And stuff like this keeps turning people off the Tories.

And Labour getting back in will be so much better of course, spending the Country into vastly more debt which we will all end up paying far worse than we are now when Labour make the UK go bust.

To add I don't like any of them but at least public spending has been cut back as Labour's recklessness with the public purse had to be stopped.

Disagree. He was good at his job as Development Secretary but it seems a shame his talents now being used as head monitor just bullying MPs to vote as they are supposed to.

Fuss about nothing IMHO.

In all honesty I know nothing of his skills or what his job even entails. I'm purely going on first impressions. (And no I'm not a Labourite)

If i could be bothered, i'd list all the millionaire Labour MPs, but that would be giving Lewis unwarranted credibility, so i'll have to leave the information on Google etc.

The fact remains that if it had been a normal member of the public (or 'pleb' if you will) gobbing off at a police officer in such a fashion they would have more than likely been arrested.

And if he had been a normal policeman he would have let him through with a polite "Evening Sir"

Have you any idea how much time, effort and power it takes to open those VEHICLE gates??

The Tory Snob was just trying to make a point that he is above the rest of society - he was told to use the side gate, he got on his high horse and now deserves a big fall from it!

The quicker we get these rich mummy boys out of power- and real men in, the better!!

Is that it? You post thread after thread of tedious crap with the sole intention of livening up your own day, and you have nothing better to offer in the face of facts about rich, priveleged MPs disguising their ego-trips as "socialist"? You are a lonely man.

Is this news?

Anyone who has had a confrontation with a irritated cyclist will know a good number can behave like that...just look on youtube

Concentrate on sorting out the country instead of messing about with this non-news.

Yeah - None of us should be concerned about a Cabinet MP abusing a police officer in front of the public. Then lying about it and accusing the police of lying instead. No qualms about his integrity there. Am sure he doesn't lie when he is working for us.

The impression given of Mitchell by this incident is of a self important git who was not prepared to carry out a reasonable request by the copper.

I don't think his behaviour is anything to write home about and demonstrates an unpleasant side to his personality.

You took that seriously? Its a pslewis thread!

Anyhoo, lets make a start at getting rid any one of them that promises/pledges or what ever to make this country better.
