A passenger train travelling from London to Norfolk has crashed near Potters Bar railway station in Hertfordshire.
Ambulance service officials say there are "significant casualties".
There are unconfirmed reports of fatalities.
People are thought to be trapped in the train and a pedestrian has reportedly been hit by debris from a bridge.
The train is believed to be the 1245 from Kings Cross, London, to Kings Lynn in Norfolk.

Sky News story.
I hope to god that there are no fatalaties and those injured are not too bad.

The guy who sits next to me at work was on the train behind that one !!! hes just got back to the office !!
He was also in the train before the train that got hit in the clapham junction crash !!
Not getting on a train with him
In fact, not getting on a train again !! too smelly / expensive / slow ....

Carpet,
I think you'd be safe on a train with him!!
On another note:
Potters Bar is only one stop down the line from Hatfield!!
It's definitely a case of too little too late by the government. They put in speed restrictions for a few weeks and annoy loads of commuters, but nothing will be put in place afterwards to actually prevent this sort of tragedy from happening again.

Sky news reporting 3 dead and up to 50 injured, 12 seriously. Looks nasty from the pics on the tv, one of the carriages is on it's side on the platform. The injured are being taken to Barnet hospital.
Not all the injured were on the train, some possibly on the platform and below the bridge on the road.
