Angry Anders Breivik sentenced to 21 years in jail

Really? 77 people dead and 240 injured and he gets 21 years?!

A Norwegian court has found that mass killer Anders Behring Breivik is sane and sentenced him to 21 years in jail.
Breivik admitted killing 77 people and wounding more than 240 others when he bombed central Oslo and then opened fire at an island youth camp last year.

And also, gets to live in a hotel..

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-19371593

Surely he needs to be sent to mexican prison and hanged by his b@lls.

thought it was a bit tame . Watched a thing about the Oklahoma Bomber lastnight and his mate that knew he was going to do it , but didnt tell police got 10 years ! Concidering Brevik admitted it , and boasts about it , shows no remorse and isnt insane , i dont see why it isnt at least a life sentance .

Let's hope the "Daddy" of the prison is allowed to do his thang - i.e. the warders turning a blind eye - and gets medieval on Breville's ***.

I hope Norway is not like the UK i.e. will let him out after c.4 years for "good behaviour", or somesuch bollox excuse.

Let's hope, at least, that 21 years actually means 21!

21 years is the maximum sentence they can give. I agree.. It should be 21 years for each victim!

I very much doubt he will ever be released though, I don't see them ever being able to say that he is no longer a danger to society.

if he will be out, he'll be 54, which gives him a lot of time to plan another 'trip' by the lake..

let's just hope he will have some fun there.

He will never be released

They should of found him insane for 2 reasons; 1. he is clearly insane and 2. it was the verdict he most feared

He has shown regret, but he claims it was politically necessery. He's never shown any joy or triumphalism or mocked the victims and their families. He's never laughed about it like some terrorists have.

That incident with the decline bench didn't involve bashing your head did it? Every time I see him he has smug smirk on his face. I fail to see any regret on his part. Do you think he should be let off with a slap on the wrist? Do you consider twenty one years adequate punishment for taking seventy seven lives?

Norway released one of their serial killers after serving a 21 year sentence, madness really for people like this who should spend the rest of their lives in prison.

Disgraceful sentence - that's about 3.5 months per life!

He got 21 years and has to serve a minimum of 10, clearly he'll do the full 21, I was dumbfounded when I heard that on the radio this morning, how must those poor family members feel hearing that.

And I thought the justice system in this country was fooked

Talk about getting away with murder !

I was putting the assertion that he has shown no remorse in proper context not apologising for his crime thanks.

That is a short sentence given the magnitude of the crime, especially since he remarked in court that he'd do it again.

Don't buy the prison like a holiday comments though - I've been to Butlins and even they had toilet seats .... and the "bum rape brothers" were fortunately elsewhere!

Yep, he killed 77 and on the news i'm sure it said his only regret was not killing more! 77 dead and he gets 'a minimum of 10 years'. The families of the deceased should be able to decide on his fate, give them all a few hours alone with him tied to a chair.
