OK - mother's looking at getting an iPad. They already have a Kindle.

The question is when they go on holiday is it possible to transfer books between iPad and Kindle? They both like to share books.

I know the file format is possible (just using the "kindle" app for iPad).

Does it basically mean that they use the same account on both machines?

If they get the kindle app on the iPad, they should be able to just download the books straight to it from their Amazon account, where every book they've ever purchased should be. They simply sign into their Amazon account on the kindle app, go to the bit where it lists the books they've had from Amazon and download whatever they want on to that device (iPad)
