Think I broke rib
Was sliding off a declined weight bench and put a lot of weight on my side. Don't ask why, I used to just 'sit up' off the bench but had an ab injury a while ago makes me careful about this sort of thing...probably need to rethink how to get off a declined bench. I felt something crack and it's now hurting a fair bit when I move about. Lower rib I think.

If its bust honestly you will know
I couldn't even take the pain from normal breathing ....coughing brought real tears to the eyes
Best of luck if you have broken one

There was some TV show or film I watched recently where the hero broke a load of ribs then continued doing all sorts of action and stuff, refusing to take Doctors orders to rest. Think it was 24?

Laughing can also be alot of fun too..... not!! Also try and avoid lying on your stomach when sleeping as that can be painfull as well.
Think I've broke my ribs 5 or 6 times now so know what your feeling.
Rather you than me lol.

Is this an attempt to make us all believe you are some sort of iron pumping hard man with perfectly formed pecs??
As opposed to the Sociology studying, bedsit living geeky boy you actually are?
You're fooling nobody son
If you really have broken a rib why don't you go seek medical advice?

Why would you come on an internet forum just to state the fact you may have sustained an injury? You aren't even asking for advice just telling everybody a matter of fact. Weird.
Perhaps medical advice may be needed for other reasons as well.......

Tony de wonderful is in my top 5 most hated usernames on Scoobynet.
Whether intended as a joke or not, and i assume it was, but even so, hints at unresolved issues that ought to be referred to a professional. At the point in your life when you finally admit this to yourself, Tony, don't say we didn't tell you a long time ago.

Decline flies?! Unless you're a competitve bodybuilder who is seeking complete pectoral developement (even then decline flies are unnecessary), I question the veracity of doing such an ungainly and risky exercise. I presume you had a spotter, if not then the folly is even more pronounced. I would stick to the pec deck, it's far safer and works a greater area of the chest. I doubt (I may be wrong) if your lower pecs are underdeveloped in relation to the rest of your chest, thus negating the need for decline movements. If anything most people's upper pecs are lagging, needing incline bench movements.

I might give up the decline now as its a bitch to get off the apparatus.

What are you talking about?? So you didn't even have the weights in your hands but were just trying to get off a bench unhindered and bust a rib? You sound like Mr Burns from the Simpsons!!

I suggest you give up the weights and start figuring out a way to increase your bone density, you are breaking bones trying to function as a normal human, increasing muscle mass is the least of your problems.

The only other guy who could snap a rib just trying to stand up is this guy
