Don't expect every crime to show up here, that's not how it works, if you download something and they happen to be watching then you're nabbed. Given time they'll watch more torrents until you have nowhere to hide.

Jack,
You're wasting your time mate. We live in a culture of theft where being honest and expecting to pay for things others have worked hard to create or to be paid for things you create makes you an object of derision for the thieving masses to laugh at!

Ahh, so it just torrent peers logging IPs of all the other sharing peers.
They've been doing that for years: Remember ACS Law threatening/blackmailing SKY broadband customers to pay them for downloading granny ****? They didn't get very far....even Lord Lucas called it blackmail! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACS:Law

Correct, it works in exactly the same way. But this is public, I don't expect anyone stop, as F1 says we live in a culture where digital theft is a laughing matter, but you never know it might just put the ******* up someone.

To be frank, if someone is stupid enough not to check where/who they are obtaining illegal material from, they deserve to whacked with the clue hammer.
Although looking at it from another angle...they are just going after the easy targets. Likely the parent of a 13yr old downloading the lastest album of whatever is the current teenyboppers favourite boyband (One Direction? unfortunately its the wrong direction )

So it works by checking your IP and how many of you at home have a static IP ? - I know I certainly dont.
That will probaly account for a lot of the stuff that its finding that have not downloaded.
If they do decide to prosecute then they would have to go to your IP service provider and get the records from them to see which IP was assigned to you the days in question.
Of course someone else could of used it to download without my knowledge via your unsecured wireless - your Honour.
