Default Curiosity's Seven Minutes of Terror

I've seen the details of this before, but I'd still be surprised if it makes it down as planned...

Pretty high tech stuff, but quite intresting all the same. What are the odds of 'everything' going 100% and making the landing then?

Sounds possible but for everything to go 100% I hope so..

Is this already on route then?

Yeah well done NASA. I was listening to Radio 4 this morning when it landed. Quite a feat.

I am not against space exploration but I do wonder what use it will be if they do find some building blocks of life that might have meant some life form billions of years ago?

No doubt it will bump into a supermarket trolley as it trundles around

The thing is, if there is any intelligent life on Mars, wouldn't that machine scare the **** out of them?

We landed on the moon 42yrs ago so why the worry about Mars? Will they find evidence of life? Bacteria / microbes perhaps, certainly not "animals".

It has been reported that the machine has been successfully landed. I feel that they all deserve full congratulations for that outstanding achievement.

I hope that all the devices on the Rover continue to work as they should do.
