Default MTB upgrade time

Been thinking about replacing my MTB for a while - got one reserved at a great price and going to see it on Saturday

http://www.scott-sports.com/ca/en/pr...ke-spark-35-m/

I'm a big fan of Scott bikes and my most local shop is an authorised dealer for sales and service, which is ideal.

Any other Scott riders on here?

I've a 2009 Scott Spark 60 which is a fantastic XC bike but still capable of a lot more. I've not found a red or black it can't tackle without a problem. Done a few sensible upgrades and lost a few pounds, so that helps a bit more.

The 2012 model is meant to be a bit more trail focused and won a recent Bikeradar comparison (2012 Spark 60) so the 35 I'm sure will be just as good, a bit lighter and a few better bits.

The Commencal Meta SX is meant to be really good as well, around the same sort of price & I'm sure you can wrangle a discount from someone. Worth checking out. I have the AM1 as play bike though yet to really have a chance at a good ragging - can't wait!

Like the Scotts myself, but I've always found the top mounted shocks to provide less support from heavy drops than the lower pivots.

Might just be me .. I've got a Specialised S-works, just rebuilt it .. looking for new front forks and a dropper post.

Saw it, tried it, loved it, bought it. Going to spend some time tomorrow getting it set up just right I think.

Can't get over how light and responsive it is. Well pleased
