Angry eBay Clowns

Got an old 32" Sony CRT TV up for sale on eBay at the moment, 99p starting price, local pickup only, saves me taking it down the tip

So a potential bidder emails me and asks if I'd let them have it for £3, I said no as I'd like the auction to run it's course and that they should chance their arm with a bid and they might just win it. Said bidder was the current winner and only bidder so could have got a TV for 99p. Today sends me an email saying "ha ha ha, should have took my £3 offer as I'm going to get it for 99p", I now decide to look at there feedback which is a bit of a mixed bag - 16 purchases with some of the sellers saying they never got payment etc. so I've blocked them and declined their bid. Did I do the right thing

Also how can I block bidders with no feedback in case they register a new account, it only seems to let me block bidders with feedback scores of between -1 & -3

There's no way I'm giving my address to this clown if they were to somehow win it.

Lol I'd let him have it for 99p and then accidentally drop it when handing it over!

OOOPS!

FFS ..... £3 ..... 99p .... and you have all this grief!!

I've just driven in the rain, stood in someones garden in the rain and bought a garden windmill I saw on E Bay ...... for £70!

Some people need to get a grip of perspective

It's just the principle of it you old goat, I don't care if it sells for 99p just don't email me gloating about it.

The auction isn't over yet so eBay can't send them my details as far as I understand, different if they'd won it / the auction had completed.

PS Garden windmill - nice, hope you've got plenty of gnomes to go with or are you recreating a crazy golf course

CD ... pop the link up - we shall show these people what SN can do - we shall ask a question if it is the very rare TX3452453TX Model ...... you say, YES.

SN ensures the bidding reaches £2999 ..... should show them

End the auction saying it`s not available anymore or say it`s been damaged. There`s a few options for ending an auction...then stick it on here with us sensible people

i`m surprised it got a bid even at 99p 1
At work, we have a freecycle section, filled with 32" crt for free, none of them go !

As you`ve done, cancel their bid, block them

Got another 99p opening bid but this time seems like the bidder is legit. Has emailed me once already and seems genuine. Got 7 watchers too so it could go up a bit

I sold my lovely old silver 28" Black Diamond CRT complete with Ikea stand for the grand total of £5.90 on eBay last year.
It saved me a journey to the local tip though.

I had a similar issue, DVD player and stand all included. some numpty won it for a fiver but cocked about so much collecting it I gave him a non paying bidder strike.

He immediately replied to that and said he'd sort it. He didn't so I waited, finished the report process and got all the fees back. Then listed it on Gumtree for a tenner and sold it in a day.

As said, saved a trip to the dump.

5t.

Sometimes it aint worth the agro of dealing with bottom feeders, i sold a load of old consoles and games for £20, my notion was that some kid without much money could have 40 games to play for not much money, 2 xboxes, controllers and a PS2. Got some cocktard win it then mess me about as he couldn't collect despite it saying clearly buyer collects, I offer to drop it off as was passing by his way on the way to my lads Hockey match, I turned up alt the allotted time, there was someone in, could hear kids making a racket, rang the bell, knocked on the door but no answer, then the **** had the audacity to say I hadn't turned up so I described in detail his trampy house, he then had the cheek to ask me when I was bring it round again, I told him that he wasnt getting it and I would rather bin it than let him have it and said that Ebay perhaps wasnt for him, utter tool, advertised it again, he bid so I blocked him, next bloke bought it for his kids, turned up, paid and off he went.

Sold an Ipod touch (faulty, screen was dim), sold as faulty as my lad wanted the money and they do sell, the buyer threatens me with action as it was broekn and that I knew it was broken, I pointed him at the ad where it quite clearly stated it was broken in three places, he said it was broken in a "bad" way and he couldnt fix it like he thought he could, so basically he thought he was getting a fully working Ipod Touch for next to nothing that he could fix with some command or something, he said he would open a case with Ebay so I told him to do just that and complain that the broken Ipod was broken and see how far he would get !

My wife made some curtains, cost £100 to make, sold as we didnt need them, one bid for £20, woman was happy with the curtains but not that it didnt come with screws
and fixings, so left us negative feedback ! I penned a really sarcastic email back as therapy.

Then relist for 20 pounds starting price that get rid of chav's. I selling some vouchers guy emailed nsty message complaining i have put photo of 2 vouchers when only 1 forsale, as i had clearly stated in advert. So relisted item correctly, then got a very nice email off him asking for more details on item, ignored and BLOCKED. Theres no need to be rude, but some people can't help it.

I listed a plasma tv spares or repair, Originally it cost me £30 + fuel as it was collection only... turned out the part i needed wasnt on this model lol

Anyway It sold for £1.20 , the guy drove down from some place near heathrow, and collected it

I always get them to collect from my work, then i never have to wait in for someone to turn up

Glad to get shot really

I had a a set of tannoys that went for a song, the guy never even paid or turned up, there still in the spare room
