No idea where that is . Couple years ago had a cruise down the Meuse starting at Namur ,heading for France

Arrived Namur by train from Brussels and right up to the last 20 miles thought the scenery was incredibly dull , but then - what a revelation

Originally i saw this title and i honestly brought it up with the full intention of saying 'go court some of the locals (preferably the belgian chocolate makers, i mean come on.. some complimentary chocolates to go with your frolicking)' but in a slightly more inappropriate way.

Then you said for your KIDS, so now ive got nothing to say but ive posted anyway because
I feel bad

lol

Belgian public transport is cheap : english is widely spoken : Beer/Frits+Mayo/Chocolate.

U will enjoy it !!

(if u get to Brugge - there is a Frits (aka Chips!) Museum)

Don't miss trying the Moules Frites. They are a speciality and when I tried them years ago I got hooked on them!

Amsterdam is brilliant (ie beautiful), but its also equally a sh*te-hole and a magnet for scrubbers and f*ckwits. Id still go though.
