Default Alton towers water park

I've got a week off work coming up and thought about this place.

Is it worth the money?

Is the queues massive? We'll be going midweek so hopefully not busy.

We'll be taking the 18month year old girl is it ok for her or more for grown up kids?

And most important of all is their any bargains around for the tickets

Was there only last Sunday

Fine for younger kids lots of fun if your under 11.
Left without breakfast so i arrived starving and bought two coffee's and two plastic wrapped mcvitie muffins £10.90 !!!!!

No idea about deals as the misees booked it (kids party) wasnt too busy except the shared changing rooms are badly laid out and you have to squeeze past several families trying to save a pound and attepmting to stuff there entire wardrobe into a locker the size of a shoe box.

Waterworld at stoke has better rides but scummier clientele

Actually the nicest has to be at center parcs at sherwood.
Much more relaxed and more than enough for an 18 month old plus masses more to do all in a very pleasant wooded site

http://www.centerparcs.co.uk/village...orts/index.jsp

just spotted your in Notts as well

Been a few times and all stays have been superb. Offers and deals come up quite often so worth looking out for. Out of the two hotels, we prefer the AT one to the Splash Landings, rooms are better. Recommended.

Center Parcs - expensive and they have had issues at Sherwood with them operating a one in, one out policy on the pool because too many people wanting to use it, rather than pay for other activities and the place can’t cope. From memory they built the complex as it is today and it has been expanded massively; it now holds 4000+ people yet little further investment has been made in the swimming facilities. It is something they are addressing now (I believe), but horse and bolted spring to mind. And then they also let people bring guests in for the day – and guess what they are going to do?
The pool, Splash Landings at Alton Towers is much better IMO.

Would say throw the kids in the local river but with the press about stupid people dying its probably not wise..

Today, we had the meal deal sandwich, crisps and bottle of pop £5.25

Which wasn't bad by Alton towers standards

MrsD tends to get offers through for AT where we stay overnight in one of the hotels, and get two days access to both the park and the water park

I personally prefer the water facilities at Centre Parcs, but Alton Towers is still good.

Because both kids are now adults, we always go mid-week whilst the schools are in (the same with CP),it's much better
