Default Finally no more rip off euro phone charges.

Got this today from o2 , it's about time IMO no more messing round with foreign sims

O2: Feel at home on your travels. From July, we're changing the way you use your mobile in Europe. You'll pay a 50p connection charge to make or receive a call, then use your UK call allowance. And no more than £1.99 for a day of data. For more info, visit http://go.o2.co.uk/o2trpm

Not daft are they...

50p per connection made or recieved

so you loose your free minutes, and still get clobbered for a call

Id rather pay the 35p per minute for the call

so on 20x calls made in a day £10 in connection charges

yet on 20x .35 (one minute calls) £7

Only works, if you on mega huge minutes, or watch your calls

I did and the £1.99 is for data....

the 50p connection is for all calls

How does O2 Travel work?
- You'll only be charged £1.99 for the days that you use data in Europe - and you can use up to 25MB a day.
- There's a connection charge of 50p for all calls made and received in Europe. When you make a call you'll be using your UK minutes and calls received are free up to 60 minutes. Terms apply.

Your comparison is hardly fair though as you're basing it in a minutes call, which is highly un likely you'll have 20 of them. Compare it to 20x 5 minute calls

No im on holiday so have no need to ring friends that's the whole point in going Way to get a break.

Then this will be idle for her she can chat to her friends for 20 minutes for a cost of 50p

If you rack up a Massive bill abroad without realising then frankly you're a moron

Vodafone have a much better data deal in Europe, well for iPhones anyhow, 25mb per day free and no one I know has been busted for going over. I busted the limit on the previous O2 Euro Data deal thing in two days and was put on the £5 a day rate. The call rates work for me as I spend so much time overseas using hardly any of my minutes.

Just been charged £20 for data usage in St Lucia.
Wouldn't mind if I was on it 24/7.... But checked emails about 10 times...
