No Angel Bernie Eccclestone
The F1 thread reminded me of this book, read it a couple of weeks ago and its brilliant. Its the story of his rise to power, how he used a combination of stitch ups and genius to turn F1 into a global business and himself into a billionaire. For those that always suspected the blatant favouritism to Ferrari and wondered why Schumaker was allowed traction control when no other driver was, there is also info about it in this book well worth a read even of you don't like F1.

I suggest you read this before you believe everything in this book.

So many of the stories Bower writes are not just in-accurate, but can easily be proven as completely false.
This is not first time he has written such bollocks either.

The article above does mention a few factual errors, there is a mention of some of these and some incorrect spellings in the review in the Guardian but none of the meat of the story has been challenged. I cannot rememebr Paddy Mcnally being described as English in the book but if he was it was a stupid error but hardly sigificant in the scheme of things.
