Current , due to technolgical advances over the past 25 years. Group B was so much better to watch though.

Agreed, which is why in an age of austerity and low revenues through sponsors, a small amount of manufacturers they should go back to Group B.

As with safety advancements, and technology think of the monsters that would be capable of being made now. They were banned for spectators and bursting into flames, which the new fuel cells would solve, I mean a single wall ally tank directly by a turbo was asking for trouble really, as slightest crash and they`d split.

Bring back a modern group B!!!

The colossal advances in suspension and brake tech are chiefly responsible for today's 300bhp WRC cars being faster through a stage than the 550+ Gp.B monsters.

As above, oh how I'd love to see a modern day Gp.B world rally series.

Thanks OP for this - can't wait!

As good as I was hoping it was going to be although also very sad with the deaths that must be remembered.

I'm desperate for rallying to go back to Group B lunacy but with modern safety technology and proper crowd control.

So the question is if you could own an original Group B car which one would you choose? Me, the RS200 purely for the looks (although I wouldn't say no to any of them!)

To be honest my Subaru is part of my 'bucket list' but I would have to add the Metro 6R4 there is just something about that car that I can't detach myself from even though it was not the best Group B rally car

Cool

I remember seeing them in Clocaenog on the '86 RAC. The only way I could describe the performance was 'violent'.

I have watched a lot of rallies in my time, but that ranks as the ultimate, whether today's cars are faster overlal or not. And Ari/Walter/Marku/Henri etc. ,

Michelle Mouton, the ultimate bird? French, fairly good looking, can drive like f*ck, what esle do you need?
