BURGER VANS IN LEICESTER...?!?!
I'm starved out my head and right in the mood for a burger van-based burger and/or a hot dog. I love 'em.
Anyone know of any regular sites where I could find one.... Like now?
I'd be extremely grateful to anyone with a quick reply and, hey... you can have a burger on me!

They aren't out due to the fuel strike. There's a burger strike on you know. They now cost £1000 each. £30 extra for a slice of cheese
On a slightly more serious note, can you not find a Micky D's drive through or similar? (Unless you're too pissed to drive. Although I do wonder why you'd want a burger van's burger being sober....).

I doubt that there's any van available at this time of the night to sell you a frikking burger, Joz. There could be some kebab shops or chippies open to cater for city wandering late night p!ssheads. If no luck, have good dreams of van burgers tonight.

There are always burger vans out there. It's reminded me of getting a call to the burger van in Mansfield town centre, reporting someone running away without paying for his burger. We caught up with the van owners nephew, who had given pursuit on foot, outside Kings Mill Hospital - over two and a half miles away. He got payment too! We gave hima lift back

Although we don't have them around here(or I haven't seen one) open that late at night, I would rule out the existence of at least one burger van doing business at this hour, SW. There could be a few, even; at the hot spots for the whizzing past HGVs. But they may not be within Joz's catchment. Then again, if there's a will, there's a way. Go get it, Joz.

LOL @ this thread
I went to that place I mentioned - no van there. BUT... there was a TJ's Burger joint residing on the Texaco forecourt! WTF! Neeedless to say I came home with a 1/2lb cheese'r and fries - which I'm stuffing myself with as I type. Poor substitute for a van burger though lol.....
Thanks for the contributions. Makes me laugh that NOTHING is unanswerable on this site!

I remember last time I bought a burger from the kebab shop, the Turkish cook started to undermine my Passat. He said "Is that what you drive now? I still have my Impreza scooby!" I nearly went into Italian mode to spaghetti his face but I kept my cool, and explained to him that he would also be better off with a sensible car. I did a quick calculation for him, proving that he would make half a penny per burger more, if he drove a 60-to-a-gallon diesel. He said he sells his burgers a penny more expensive to reimburse for his fuel and scooby maintenance. Fair enough. That's called dedication, too. Burger was nice, so I wasn't really that bothered.

You'd be lucky to find one open during the day up there let alone the night ,though last time I stayed there we did have some excitement as there was an armed robbery at the hotel we were staying at

By the way, if you drive up on Mold bypass (A494) towards Ruthin, there is a burger van on the left side lay-by. its there on the weekends, too. I pass it every day. Hungry coppers and lorry drivers love it.

I often book their conference suite for my work meetings. Their home made cookies with coffee are delicious. I can't remember learning about that robbery at all. Things like that for Mold are very rare. Occasionally, some drunk Wetherspooners kick off on Saturday nights, to justify our local police's existence. Good that you and co. were not harmed. Do let me know when you and your good lady visit next, if ever again. It will be nice to meet you two over a coffee and those special cookies
