Lodge / Log Cabin Holidays
Got the week off after half term (18/2>) and fancy some chill out time with the wife and the boy. It's also my 40th birthday so I'm celebrating
Initially intended to rent a holiday cottage somewhere nice but would really like somewhere with a hot tub to add a bit of decadance to the week. Couldn't really find anything suitable in the areas we would like to go to.
Bit more looking and it seems like a lot of those holidiay lodge type places do have hot tubs . Often there is also use of a pool and other leisure facilities, pool would be nice as our nine month old likes swimming.
Anyone been to these type of places? Seems like the lodges are usually in a park and you also have things like a restaurant / bar available. Is it nice or just an upmarket version of Butlins? Seems like Devon/Cornwall would be the best bet as there is a good choice of places. We like the outdoors - hiking, beaches, etc. so location is important.

Cheers.

It's encouraging that a "posh" hotel chain have them though, probably not too chavvy then
Thanks all the same

We have used log cabin / lodge hols for the last few years. Mainly because we have a dog that doesn't want to go into kennels.
We used the hoseasons brochure and searched for doggy friendly and looked for places with things to do during the day. Last summer we chose Wales but rained every day LOL. The Hot tub is a real laugh LOL
One hol in Yorkshire was marred by a dingy lodge.......letter to Hoseasons Chief exec got a £300 refund without any grief.
