Looks a nice job.
BRM used to friction weld the exhaust valve stems to the valve heads on their racing twin cam engines becuase they were made of different materials.
Trouble was that the valve heads used to come off in use and destroy the engine! They were too mean and dishonest to recompense anyone for a wrecked engine because of that reason.

BAE have been at it for years, I did my course in the late80's/early 90's and it was used for aluminium welding back then.

They use it on the works here to produce stuff that is a replacement for, and better than rebar.
