**** me mate what a nightmare! Feel sorry for you. I can't believe the police are not getting involved, lazy *******s. Maybe report the car as stolen? I don't think the receipt means anything in the eyes of the law. Not sure what else to suggest apart from hunt him down and send the boys round. I'll be selling my car soon and this sort of thing makes me very nervous.

I don't understand. You are a University student but you've said you took the car in px. So do you deal in cars?
If you are going to sell dodgy cars to chavs may I suggest you take some lessons in this?

the police should deal with this it is shocking that they say they cant help you
I feel sorry that you had to go through this.
the guy probably wanted the car cheaper and I bet the milage was correct
the mind of a drug abuser is a strange thing you never know what they might do.
when you were in wicks that would of been the best time to shout help
but when in that situation I know its hard to know what to do.

I'm a 20 year old man, who has a soul of a '12 year old' but is very calm and kind to anyone regardless. I haven't had any fights EVER in my life and don't intend to over a car but yes I will try my best to pursue this matter via legal terms if I can.

Firstly, if English isnt your first language then qudos to you sir, its much better than the majority on here
Through reading your whole post all I could think of was why the hell did you offer a refund. Privately sold as seen so sod him I know thats pretty mean but lets face it, if I bought a car that turned out to have a dodgy history Im pretty sure nobody would be offering me a refund.
Does sound a scary experience too. Sorry you had to go through that.

And op that's one ****ed up scenario to be in , if the law won't do anything take it as one hard lesson learned...there's lads on here who know the city well...I ****ed off when the place went downhill crime wise.....don't get ya mates in a car and go looking you'll either get shot or stabbed
Report the car as stolen and claim you was forced into signing a reciept through intimidation

I only offered a refund as I didn't want bother, I don't like upsetting or hurting people, It is not of my nature of such things. You see there is good people out there and bad people and the main reason why I wanted the car back because Its the longest vehicle I've ever owned and to be honest, it became a part of me. Although Its gone now and I know it'll never return, I just hope someone cares for it as much as I did. *in tears*

Do you have any British friends who would be willing to go to the station with you? The police are not all arseholes despite what is usually said about them. They can be very friendly and helpful if you go to the station.
