My daughter has learned a fantastically annoying little trick.
I went to pick her up to carry her to the car as it was raining, yet she felt an absolute dead wright!
She then chuckled to herself as I couldn't pick her up. I looked at Mr.P a little confused, so he tried to pick her up, and just about managed.
Now, I know she's eaten a fair bit of chocolate over the last week but not that much! Lol!
So, we were a bit puzzled and wondered how and where the heck she had picked up this little trick.
I asked her what she was playing at and she said "I just make my body straight".
So, can someone explain this to me, as I'm sure there has to be a logical explanation.

How old is she? My one year old does this from time to time whenever she is having a paddy Her latest thing is to shout out that everything's 'pooed'! Her Nanan had to check her dolly's nappy about ten times in a crowded restaurant last week

I'm not sure what possessed her to do it though.
Oh, and she's 4 years old.

She realises your as thick as two short planks and can have you over whenever she likes.. kids are smart like that, they can sense the gullible

My little one has the opposite trick, when I try to put her down she just lifts her legs up so I can't put her down, does my back in when bending down to get her to stand on her feet!

The sense of falling, (before you quickly catch them ) is enough for the legs to pop out....
And back it up with.... if you do that again, daddy / mummy may not be able to catch you is usually enough

True.
BTW, I don't recommend lifting up little kids by their ankles in any general sense; it's just that when our Frank was around that age - maybe five or six, even - he used to make me be the troll out of the first Harry Potter film. So I had to pick him up by the ankle and pretend to try and bray him with a big club. Happy days.
