William.......the wonder-prince!
Just what is it with this bloke?
He went with the Army to Afghanistan, (allegedly...if he got much closer than I've ever been, I'm a Dutchman), and came back with his tail between his legs....too dangerous, apparently.
And of course, he's soooooooo sad about others being killed there in his stead.
So he somehow transferred to the RAF, where, without any basic training, he learned to fly helicopters.
THEN we hear he's back in the Army again and posted to the Falklands.
And yesterday, there he is having a little kickabout at Sandringham, on holiday, no doubt.
First off he wants to decide WHICH service he's in, and stick to it, or get out, like others would have to do
And if he's NOT in a service and doing PROPER service, the useless git wants to get a job like other European Royals do.
Lets have no Royal bum-licker replies....he's NOT head of any Armed forces yet,....and may never be. Hopefully.
But if and when he is, he can play at what he likes.
For the meantime, this useless waste of oxygen and money needs to man up, and either DO HIS SERVICE, or GET A JOB!!!

You what? Signed up to be a prince? Can I have some of whatever you're taking?
Or signed up for the forces? Not my choice. I HAD a responsible job for years, and I didn't flit from job to job on a weekly basis looking for the exciting and not dangerous bits, either.

I think you're getting confused, Harry went to Afghanistan and served as a JTAC (Joint Tactical Air Controller) and has since retrained as an Apache pilot.
Wills went to Sandhurst, graduated as an Army Officer, did an RAF conversion and then went to flying school where he has graduated as a Search and Rescue pilot. He will go down to the Falkland Islands next year as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot
PS. It's James Hewitt

Yeah sign up to be prince because that's the realistic choice!
How can you criticise what he does if your don't know the facts after all most of your post is based on assumption.
Or is this just one of them threads to have a good moan for no apparent reason or are you hoping big ***** reads this and thinks "golly gosh jeff in Scunthorpe is right, tally ho I'm off to Iraq"

Blimey, someone didn't get their end away last night did they?
To answer your question/rant, as a prince, yet he's going out there and doing something productive with his life. Of course, he cant be put in too much danger, he's the heir to the throne ffs, but a search and rescue pilot is a worthwhile enough profession, so it's a close second in my book.
His life COULD, if he was so inclined, sit on his **** all day doing bugger all and waiting till the evening for yet another in an endless succession of parties.
Instead he spends most of his time on Anglsey. Anyone who stays on that god forsaken island out of choice gets my respect, maybe he deserves some of yours too.
astraboy.

When plannig a public a rant alcazar, it's always advisable to have the facts straight first
FWIW, I think both of them are deserving of respect
For one, Harry was only withdrawn from Afghanistan because one of the tabloids saw fit to reveal his location 'In the public interest'
And for two, I've seen the RAF Search & Rescue crews in action, and if that's what William has chosen to do, heir to the throne or not, he is deserving of your respect

PS; you don't have to be a membr of the Royal Family to apply for an operational conversion, any member of the Armed Forces can do it

And to cap it all, sometimes he goes by the name of William, and other times he's called Harry. I wish he'd make his mind up FFS

My objective post here (in a far from objective thread) is that he was about two before his mother met James Hewitt. Also, ginger hair runs in the Spencer family.
Now if this had been about Prince Edward Id have joined in!

Prince William is a qualified SAR pilot, his station covers some of the UKs busiest shipping areas.
Harry has served, apparently with distinction, in a major conflict zone and, tabloids permitting, will probably return at some point.
If you could explain what about that makes them both wastes of space, I'm sure we'd all be grateful
PS; As far as I can recall, there has never been any intent to deploy Prince William to any of the UKs front line operations.

You are obviously a dyed in the wool, closed minded, left wing muppet, who isn't really worth arguing with, but what the hell, I've got **** all else to do tonight
