I would imagine that they will just put up their prices, you can't legislate against that.
The one that really gets my goat is when you book tickets at a theatre and they charge a booking fee per ticket, thieving *****!

I complained to British Gas about charging me 2%. I reckon it costs them well under 1% and they must take millions. They wrote back and said this is what it cost them. They were lying so be interested to see the outcome of this. dl

Definitely a good idea. Even if they put up prices. The price should be the price, no hidden extras.
Companies have swallowed the cost of credit cards etc for year. Surely it means that it's easier for people to shop with them and therefore they get their benefit with higher sales. I bet they wouldn't like it if everyone wanted to pay cash

Shame it's not our government actually doing something useful for their electorate. i.e. us! It's them obeying their masters in Brussels who have been pontificating on this for years. See ... http://eureferendum.blogspot.com/201...en-europe.html ... for the relevant links.
It's good news I admit but I do wonder what the hell out elected representatives actually do these days. Especially as they're now off for a record Xmas break .....
