That was a refreshing post considering the subject matter that usually gets posted in NSR, it's like a breath of fresh air. This just reminds me that it isn't all bad out there and there are still good decent people out there willing to give it there all for the sake of others.

It may be the case that I'm deluded or naive, but I'm of the view that the majority of people are essentially "good" and "decent". It's the case that we're subjected to daily reports of utterly disagreeable and often reprehensible behaviour, but most are going about their business in an equitable and reciprocal way. I see ordinary people being fair and considerate and charitable on a daily basis, but fear this is overlooked or distorted by the pervading zeitgeist and culture of selfishness pumped out by big business and elements of the ruling elites. The good guys are in the majority, I think, they're just not in control.

^^ Good news doesn't = a good story thus you hear very little of that in the gutter press / tv. I agree that 99% of the population are both good & decent.

Here's an idea: How about an X factor style competition for people like this?!?!

It's really is high time we started putting deserving people on podiums rather than glorifying or otherwise elevating people who, quite frankly, aren't fit to shine the shoes of individuals such as those featured in the above clips!

I did well up at the end, does that make me Ghey?

Great video that has given me a proper push to stop smoking, the music didn't help as that song was on the radio when we drove our dog of 15 to the vets to be put to sleep (RIP Bruno!)

You mean "The biggest loser"

LOL I don't just mean a show for fatties that have shed the pounds, I mean for people who make a difference in life - inspirational figures!

That's not to say that it can't include some reformed fatties!

Maybe its just me, but i dont find that motivating or moving.

A fat guy loses weight, whats motivating about that ? Not getting fat in the 1st place i find more motivating

Good if you like that kind of motivating/"inspiring" video but not for me
