This is Britain, so you just know that the big man is going to be found and arrested for assault.

I'm willing to bet the conductor gets in some serious hot water over this.

Apparently the conductor retires in a few weeks.

The clown trying to get a free ride is this chap http://www.facebook.com/sammain16?sk=wall and judging by his wall, he's not too bothered about the whole thing.

Now why should he have any problems for goodness sake?

The pikie was trying to cheat by not paying for a ticket and the other bloke got rid of him off his own bat.

Only someone who is grossly and irrevocably PC would go looking for a chance to give the conductor any problem over the incident.

Do you think that is what should happen then?

The conductor acted as responsibly as he should have done. The only person who could be in hot water is the big guy.

The big guy asked the conductor if he should get him off. The conductor said yes. I'd imagine on his training on how to deal with problem passengers whis isn't the correct way to do things.

If he threw him onto the platform and injured him, who do you think would be getting the letter from the "No win, no fee" *****?

If a passenger refuses to leave a train, the only people that the conductor should be asking to remove him should be BTP.

No, I don't like it or think this is how it should be, but you need to protect yourself and your job.

I work on the railway, so therefore know what ***** passengers can be, and also what they could pull out of their pocket and start waving around..

Think it is fine of the conductor.

The bystander offered to help, rather than the conductor asking the passengers for assistance. I know the police have a similar policy, a friend of mine asked the police if he could offer a hand when trying to apprehend a thief, which they accepted, and he was awarded with a financial reward from the police for his help.

Come on, it's not even nearly the same thing is it?

The conductor is an older chap, it is a ****e job and I have seen this before, in fact we sympathised with the conductor on the train to Altrincham one night and he let us off our fares, he was visibly rattled and the big guy here did the right thing, he stood up for what was right and used his physical advantage for the common good without overdoing it, hats off to him.

Really he should have been done for failing to pay, the fare is £400 as my brother found out, he stopped on one station longer as he got his destination wrong and got hit with it.

Yes I understand the points you are making.

Seems to me if the pikie was injured it would be down to the big man rather than the conductor though.

Yes I know we have all these regulations and PC plonkers wanting to apply them at the drop of a hat, but going by good old common sense, who was really in the wrong anyway, as well as using offensively bad language.

Original British thinking would place the blame in the right place and might even have taught the pikie a valuable lesson!

I don't know why people have to enforce their horrific personalities on others when traveling on the train, I used the train quite a bit earlier in the year, loads of football supporters (from London) drinking and swearing, someone took my reserved seat and got ****ty hen I pointed it out*, ********* drinking and leaving cans everywhere whilst going on about their sexual conquests, train had several kids on it.

*I got my own back on the little bitch and her mates, I took the seat and whilst she (stood up) gave me evils I let her and her mates have the full benefit of some very rich, Roast Dinner farts, normally I would hold it in but sod them, sat there glaring at me and texting each other on their blackberries then laughing, I just let them out and looked up and made a face at them like they had done it, they were really smelly as well, I was really bordering on hysterical seeing their little over made up, chavvy little faces when they caught the full on wafts, I just kept reading.

Now, I go in first class, cant be arsed with plebs who cant behave.

What, a person in authority accepting a civilian's help in order to restrain someone breaking the law? No, I can see no similarities at all!

I was once on a train travelling out of London where a group of lads all suited up and looking quite smart were creating on the train by swearing, shouting, drinking and smoking. When asked by someone not to smoke one of them hurled abuse at the OP telling them to F off.

I didn't react as I don't like trouble but a thuggish looking skinhead all tattoos and denim stood up, grabbed the guy who was smoking and in no uncertain terms told him and his to mates to either calm down and behave or he would sort the lot of them out.

The guy smoking duly sat down as did his mates and were quiet for the rest of the journey.
