Plasma is on the wall.......
.....but now what do I do with my `boxes`? I imagined a small black cabinet with black glass doors to hide them.....something like this

Anyone else had better ideas? (pics would be nice )

I mounted mine on the wall and buried the cables in a pice of trunking in the wall, then built a false wall underneath with shelves at one end for all the boxes.

I have one of these - 160cm wide and deep enough for a full size AV receiver. I could put the PS3 on top of my receiver on that inner shelf - it's quite tall.

but this is my sofa, so they match
Can everyone see this? - one end of my living room

Not really, it was about 9ft to the TV, which was a recommended distance for a 720p 42" Plasma. And when i bought the TV, (which cost £3995!) there was not much option for bigger TVs

We opted for this one from next, it's a bit chunky but has six shelves which is handy, the doors slide and don't swing open so you just need to slide the door to the middle section to have access with the remote, and the two drawers come in handy too

Very ingenious
I really like that but Ideally I want something smaller (just big enough to house my 3 items) and in black, for the stealth look

We needed a larger unit to hide the wires, it looks like a BT Exchange behind it, there's nine things plugged in, then there's a million and one other wires To be fair it's not too big ( it doesn't stick out as far as the old glass tv shelf unit that we replaced)
Tv
Sky
Blu ray player
Xbox
Wii
PS3
Kinnect
Router
Bose companion
When we decorated recently our lass said "I'm gonna tidy the wires up"
After an hour she had only just untangled em and realised it was too big of a job and gave up

I have plasma on the wall in my front room and whilst we had the house refurbed in 2006 i had the wires run behind the walls, ceiling to a storage cupoboard. Personally my SKY HD, PC, DAB tuner, NuVo, Amp, NAS box is hidden away out of sight and is controlled by a single remote, a Phillips Pronto (best remote around IMO). At the touch of a single programmed button my TV, Amp and Sky box go on.
If you have all your equipment under the TV its up to you where and how you display it. How are you controlling all the devices, please dont say with individual remotes

I bought some floating shelfs of ebay a few years ago, done the job fine since. But only have Virgin TV box and ps3 on them, with Wii mounted flat on the wall behind the TV.
Something like this:

Also has cable management

This is my temporary set up. In the new year I`ll be chasing the cables into the wall and redecorating the wall.....and the speakers will be going when I get a soundbar!

I like how you have covertly hidden the wires and cables, only thing I am not sure about is the table...possibly too big?
