Backlight on Casio G-Shock Watches
#1
I know after a lot of use the blue backlight on watches wears out and no longer works. I have not used mine much but when I press the backlight button the display goes blank for about 5 seconds then comes back on. Has anyone else had this, is it a sign that the battery needs replacing?

Need to send it away to have the battery replaced (well thats what I was told when i just nipped into a jewlers to have it done on the spot)
14 days turnaround.
Think this keeps the water-proofing in tact.

I love my G-Shock - bought in Hong Kong at Xmas 1990
It gains 10 secs a month, has had 3 straps and 1 facia surround (rubber thing)...
IT IS STILL WORKING ON THE ORIGINAL BATTERY!!!
That is coming up 11.5 years use!!
I can still see the time if I use the light button & I rarely use the alarm/count-down. The time is still perfectly clear & it hardly ever leaves my wrist...
Just amazing

Some jewlers can do it.
Ro Allders in woking can re do the waterproofing thing next time you need it done.
other than that dont belive them when they say that no one can do it! some have the equipment some dont.
