Default Abercrombie hoodie question, rips and tears, distressed etc

Ive not bought an Abercrombie hoodie before, ive just bought one on ebay that was described as only been worn twice, thought that will be handy for just throwing on to use in the car etc

Anyway, it turned up looking like its been dragged through a hedge. Rips on the side of the hood, the lettering looks a bit tatty, its got Abercrombie lettering with the words N Y just underneath in 2 square type cream patches, the square type patches are torn as well. The piping on the hip and piping on the sleeves look frayed and distressed as well.

Is this a normal look for this type of Abercrombie hoodie, are they meant to be this way ?

It may well be. The first t shirt I bought had little `nicks` around the arms and along the hemline. I messaged the seller, accusing them of all sorts only to find that`s the style Post a pic up, we can tell better then.

I did the same, when it turned up i was thinking to myself, is this some sort of joke

I emailed the seller saying similar ..

Its basically the same as this, i only found this similar one when trying to find out of the one i had recieved should look like its been dragged through a hedge a few times

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ABERCROMBI...81424272118511

I didn't buy it from that seller as his look too cheap for this type of Abercrombie hoodie, apparently the person i bought mine off paid £100 for it, seen similar ones for around £70 on ebay so that one in that auction looks too cheap at £35.

I have two of these hoody's from their store in new York both have frayed cuffs and the lettering as described post some pics to be sure including labels etc but they sound ok to me

Edited to say mine are both very thick and heavy so a genuine one should be the same

Originals are made in China, fakes are probably better quality.

My wife used to work in the fashion industry, plenty of times she was at factories in Bali that made shirts for Ralph Lauren.

“official” went out of the front door, unofficial out the back

The global brand managed at Tommy Hilfiger admitted in an interview that she could not discount the possibility of “fakes” being sold in official Tommy Hilfiger outlets

Few pics, as i said i aint got a clue whether this one is real or a fake as ive not had abercrombie stuff before. Its weird how the label on the inside shows through on the back, you can see label the stitching on the back of the hoodie.

Looks fine to me. On my polo shirts you can see the label stitching on the back too.

Looks genuine to me too, very similar in style to the two of mine which came from their store, short of feeling the material I'm almost certain that's a genuine hoody

Maybe you shouldn't be such a pikey and buy brand new clothes rather than ones some fat bloke has sweated into? For all you know he has wiped his ar8se crack with it

The problem with Abercrombie if your a UK buyer is that most of the sellers and stores are in the USA with them being a US company, their are none of their stores anywhere near where i live in the North West, not sure if their any in the UK at all.

The only way i could find what i was after was on ebay, i knew the style and colour of hoodie i wanted, i came across a UK seller who had bought one of these in the US and had only worn it twice. It looked mint from the pics but the pics didn't show up the distressed look, i thought i'd give it a whirl and see what turns up. Normally i buy all my from clothes from stores and designer outlets, its just you couldn't find these anywhere over here especially the type i wanted.
