If you accept such a job, you should also agree to taking part in all of the duties which go with it; or make your position clear before taking the job on.

Yes Les, but there are a lot of "complicated issues" in N.I. still.

Regardless though, in my eyes he was wrong to do that, and should apologise.
Not necessarily hand the award, but at least apologise
