I am in work tomorrow. Ineffectual unions will do nothing and the strike only serves to pi$$ Mr Joe Public off big time.

The irony is that the public sector are doing a very Labour thing by striking.

However, its Labour that allowed the public sector to become unaffordable. A reduction in teachers but too many middle management goons in council offices.

No wonder the teachers are peeved - just a shame they are taking it out on the wrong people. Its their very own unions that turned a blind eye to the gravy train.

They continue to receive little sympathy from me. Was surprised to see BBC news reporting that support for the strikes in the private sector was quite high??

Not sure if thats true or just some "devide and rule" going on.

A pretty biased article

The National Audit office says the public sector pensions are affordable and are on track to be a declining percentage of GDP already

The cuts in pensions is just been driven by ideology and justified by spin

The government says people who dont make proper provision will be in poverty in old age then slashes pensions for millions

I don't fully understand what this is all about.
My pension which I have paid into, for a long time, is worth "jack $hit". Private, not a Government dogsbody.
Why should Civil Servants get it any better than me. Am I missing something. If so, please tell me, as I honestly am at a loss to feel any sympathy to the strikers.

I huffed someone at work today, as his wife is a Civil Servant and he did not take kindly to me telling him, why is she better than the rest of us workers. Contracts etc are being broken by the day, because the Country is fcuked.
