Ebay !! I just dont understand ??
Why people watch stuff, and even ask questions about the item then dont bother bidding !!
I can understand this if it's an expensive item, but I had a Scooby headlight and fog light, both glasses were excellent, but the mounting brackets (plastic) were slightly damaged on both, but they were fine for either spare glasses or to replace a broken one. Both listed seperately for £10 - so hardly a kings ransom !
4 watchers on both, couple of questions on the fog (part number etc..)
End of auction comes --- not a dicky bird !!, didnt even get any cheeky 50p offers after the end of the auction??
Confused as why people do this ??
Ian..

I can understand the "going rate" for something a bit more expensive +£50, but for a tenner?? there isnt much scope for going any lower, plus I did a search for similar and the few which were on there were the same sort of price.
And as for the bloke who got all freindly via email asking about part numbers, he didnt even say thanks but its not the right part ??
I guess ebay is just an electronic car boot - frequented mostly by time wasters, idiots, and people who want something for free..
I'm sure someone on here would happily pay £10 each for them, (I know how much they are from a dealer), but it would cost me more to join to allow me to advertise them than I would get for the pair of them.
Ah well, back in the loft with them then.

No need to do this to find the going rate as you can search for completed auctions for something similar / the same to what you are selling.
Flogged our old dishwasher on there recently, 20 odd watchers and quite a few questions asked but not all of them bid. Got a good price for it all the same, picked it up the next day with cash too

I put stuff on my watch list as a reminder or option i'm considering. Some of the stuff i'm not likely to buy but I watch it to check the price. I also watch stuff in case I'm thinking of selling the same to see if its worth listing.
I sold a pair of facelift crystal headlights for £29.99 the other day, 6 watchers, 1 bid.
Stuff just isnt selling at the moment.

I watch things just so I can see how much they go for....
The MG Metro above is perfect example- would never buy it now, but hankered after one 20yrs ago
Would be interested to see how much it went for just as an interest thing, so watch it to keep it listed in 'My Ebay'
When I sign back in a few days/weeks later - will see it and think - wow thats good, or **** me thats cheap.
Pure Nosiness & passing interest
