I'm owed quite a bit by them, just need to get off my lazy *** and write to them about it. Main reason is I make personal pension contributions and these are relieved at the basic rate of tax by my pension provider but as I pay 40% tax on some of my earnings I can claim back the difference. For quite a few years I had to fill out a tax return to get it but several years ago they decided to put me on a higher tax code and told me I'd no longer need to do a return. Great....
Except that I've noticed for 2010/11 and 2009/10 I was put back on the standard tax code so no rebate, and for some reason this year they have me on an even lower code
Probably would have done something about it at the time except I've also realised they've not sent me a PAYE tax coding notice for ages either else this would have prompted me.
Oh well at least it's a very inefficient way to put some money in savings

I think the ****-up has only just been resolved and the letter sending is between now and next Christmas. See the BBC News article.
Note that's 2012!
