Can anyone recommend a nice bottle of brandy for a gift
Working to a budget of £50-60 but will spend a bit more if need for something nice.
What I know about brandy is limited to the fact that you can spend huge sums on a bottle, and the other thing I know is that I hate the stuff.
So can anyone point me in the right direction please, it's for a birthday gift for my brother.
Thanks.

I have Regnauld Sabourin, get it from Gauntley of Nottingham...

It's better than a Hennessy XO which is a lot more

try Armagnac instead.
For that amount you can probably get a bottle from the year he was born, so shows a bit more thought.
Personally I find it smoother than Cognac pound for pound as well.

It depends if you want a name or not.
If that is the case, go for a Hennesey, Remy, etc. As they are waaaay overpriced.
If you want a better drink, then go for the Regnauld Sabourin; it is far superior.
