In particular the European Regional Development Fund?

How does one go about it, where do you ask, what "hoops" do you have to go through, what is the best way, etc???

I know diddly about it but I have a plan that would fit within it's remits and would welcome any advice or experience.

I have a friend who used to get EU grants for encouraging employers to give work to ex convicts and people with disabilites. The budgets had to be signed off by some loopy woman at the local council who aproved pretty much everything including their 40-60k salaries for a three day week. They used the infrastucture and EU funding to run a trans-european recruitment consultancy. Got to love the EU.
But to answer the question.... I have no idea really.

Many public sector organisations, local authorities, colleges, regional enterprise centres etc will have an expert on claiming from the EEC.

Might be be an idea to contact your local council.

Do you have local Business Development type of thing or Chamber of Commerce?

You'll just need to complete a simple 40 page application in 17 languages

Edit to add: Just use the Keywords, ethnic, gay, asylum, disabled (and keeps cats) and the Euros will pour in.

From what I know it is distributed via local agencies.

A friend got a European Development Zone Fund - it was handled by a local business development agency.
